My Story

Cristóbal Pérez
Jorge

I completed my Drama studies at the Miguel Salcedo Hierro Academy of Arts in Córdoba, specializing in text interpretation.

I then participated in the productions of “Almanzor” and “El Gran Capitán” for Teatro PAR. “Abre el Ojo” (Open Your Eye), “Angelina or the Honor of a Brigadier,” and “Don Juan Tenorio” (Don Juan Tenorio), all directed by Antonio Barrios. “Pasos de Lope de Rueda” (Steps of Lope de Rueda) was performed with LaCaseta Productions.

Since 2004, I have dedicated myself to teaching theater workshops in Baena and Doña Mencía, and later founded the Baena Municipal Theater School, where I have directed numerous plays: "Don Mendo 2.0," "Miracle at the López House," "Petra's Revenge," "An Adventure as a Couple," "Retable of Greed, Lust, and Death," "Cervantine Interludes," among others. I also lead the theater groups "La Karaba" in Doña Mencía and Zenobia in Puente Genil, with whom I have directed: "Three Top Hats," "You Have the Eyes of a Femme Fatale," "The Wise Women," "Pluto," and more.

In 2008, I wrote and directed "Roses to Remember," an adaptation of the novel "Thirteen Red Roses." In 2013, I premiered "Everything Comes to Be Overcome by the Desire of a Woman," a comedic play that tells the legend of how a group of women defend a castle from an Arab invasion. I currently continue to direct the Baena Municipal Theater School, La Karaba, and Zenobia, and actively participate in productions by "LaCaseta Productions."
